Dunn selected to McDonald's All-American game
New London guard Kris Dunn has been selected to play in the McDonald's All-American game March 28 at the United Center in Chicago. The game will be at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN.
Of the 24 players selected, Dunn was the only Connecticut player selected.
Already committed to play at Providence College, Dunn was the 2010-11 Register State Player of the Year, leading the Whalers to an undefeated season and the No. 1 spot in the final Register Top 10 poll. Dunn has already been selected to play in the Jordan Brand Classic at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte on April 14. That game will be on ESPN at 7 p.m.
Hillhouse's Bria Holmes was selected to play in the girls' McDonald's All-American game. Holmes will play at West Virginia next year. That game will come before the boys game at 7:30, also on ESPN.
