Down the stretch they come

The divisions have been decided in the SCC - Hillhouse, Fairfield Prep, Cheshire and Career are your four champs. Now we find out how many teams join them in the league tournament.
Wilbur Cross put forth a great effort before falling to Career in double-overtime on Tuesday, but the Governors are still on a four-game losing streak with Xavier coming to New Haven Friday night. Right now, neither team would get a home game in the Class LL and Class L state tournaments, respectively, but there is still time to change that.
Shelton hosts Guilford and needs to win to keep hope alive of reaching the postseason. Guilford has to win its final four games to do the same, a very very tall order.
Lyman Hall's win over Sheehan Tuesday put the Trojans just one win from qualifying for the postseason. Sheehan needs two wins.
In Shoreline Conference play on Friday, Valley Regional visits Cromwell, which suffered its first loss this season at the hands of the Warriors.
