Hausman lights up Hamden hall
Lucas Hausman finished with a career-high 38 points to help Hopkins beat Hamden Hall 81-74.
Hausman, a sophomore, has scored over 20 points in his last five games. He is quickly becoming the best player on a balanced Hopkins club. It is the third straight win in the series for Hopkins over Hamden Hall, which dropped to 4-12.
It was a great game with a fabulous student body, which stands for the entire game at Hopkins.
In other action, Kyle Wiggins went back to the top of the area scoring leaders with 30 points in a 49-45 win over Foran. Portland earned its first win of the season, winning at North Branford 80-74.
On tap for Wednesday...undefeated Cromwell vs. undefeated Hyde at the New Haven Athletic Center at 7:30 p.m. Lyman Hall hosts Notre Dame and Sheehan hosts Xavier in a pair of 7 p.m. SCC interdivision contests.
