As first reported by the Connecticut Post, John Calipari, who led Kentucky to the national championship on April 2, is scheduled to be the primary guest speaker for the St. Joseph basketball team, which won its second consecutive Class LL state championship and finished No. 1 unanimously in the final Register Top 10 poll.

Also scheduled to speak at the banquet, which will be held at Vazzano's Four Seasons in Stratford, is Mike Quick from MSG Varsity. Former New Haven Register sportswriter Seth Davis, who now works for both CBS Sports and Sports Illustrated, will be the master of ceremonies.
